The Arabic music of yesteryears has been revolutionized by the introduction of western instruments and genres like rap, hip-hop, and reggae. Mohammed Abdel Wahab is still considered one of the four greats of Arabic music, along with Umm Kalthoum, Farid Al Attrach and Abdel Halim Hafez.
